Samsung’s Z Fold 8 is hundreds off ahead of iPhone Duo launch

I don’t suppose there are many iPhone users who might be tempted by the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 now that the iPhone Duo is both real and coming very soon. But if you’ll entertain a great deal, there are big discounts happening for both the passport-style Z Fold 8 and the slimmer, taller Z Fold 8 Ultra during October Prime Day. Originally $1,899.99, the Z Fold 8 with 256GB of storage is $1,549.99 at Amazon, or $100 more at Best Buy. This beats the previous best sale price by $100. The Z Fold 8 Ultra, which has better cameras, now starts at $1,699.99 (originally $2,099.99).

HBO Max and Paramount Plus will merge into a single streamer under Skydance

HBO Max and Paramount Plus will become one streaming service under Paramount's $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery. In a press release announcing the completion of the deal, Skydance - the name of the combined companies - says both streamers will "unify into a single service over time."
