Fire at Delhi's Model Town building housing Haldiram's outlet; 30 evacuated

A fire broke out at approximately 2pm in a three-storey building in Model Town, northwest Delhi. The building houses a Haldiram's outlet, and thick smoke was seen rising from the structure. Police responded quickly and successfully evacuated around 30 people from the premises. The Delhi Fire Service deployed 23 units to bring the blaze under control. Investigators suspect a short circuit was the likely cause of the medium-intensity fire.
