J&K Assembly Passes Statehood Resolution as BJP MLAs Stage Walkout

The Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly passed a resolution seeking restoration of statehood to the region. The session was marked by significant disruption as BJP MLAs entered the well of the house in protest. The BJP legislators raised slogans demanding the dismissal of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's government. They also called for the removal of Assembly Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather during the commotion.
