AI tools can now build, deploy, and update a website in minutes, but developers warn that 'done' from an AI only means the build is complete, not that it functions correctly for end users. A key blind spot is that AI reviews its own output rather than experiencing the site as a visitor would, causing real faults to go undetected. Common failures include broken contact forms that silently swallow enquiries, expired certificates that take down sites without warning, and unverified assumptions about image sizes or page structure that look correct until inspected directly. These problems are especially deceptive because a broken form and an unused form appear identical, and a site outage can go unnoticed for months.
