Monsoon Kills 16 Across North and East India, J&K Worst Hit
At least 16 people have died in rain-related incidents as heavy monsoon rains battered parts of North and East India. Jammu and Kashmir bore the brunt of the devastation, recording at least 11 fatalities. The worst-affected areas were the border districts of Poonch and Rajouri, where torrential rains triggered landslides and flash floods. Several people remain missing in the region following the disaster. A multi-agency rescue operation has been launched to locate survivors and provide relief.
