YouTube India: AI Helped Monetise 2 Lakh New Channels in 2024

YouTube India head Gunjan Soni revealed in an exclusive interview with NDTV's Shiv Aroor that approximately 200,000 channels were monetised for the first time last year. Soni credited artificial intelligence as a key enabler behind this large-scale monetisation milestone. The development reflects the growing role of AI-driven tools in helping content creators reach revenue-generating status on the platform.
