A page of ours returns 200. The HTML validates. Every test is green. The h1 reads exactly what we wrote. And for several weeks it was shown to about 1,580 people a month in search results and clicked once.

Most "quickstart" guides skip the part that actually trips people up: where exactly to click, what the key looks like, where to put it, and what the very first error message means when you get it wrong. This is a genuinely five-minute walkthrough — sign up, get the key, make one real request, understand your limits, and know where to go next. What You'll Need Go to the sign-up page and create an account. This is a plain email/password-style signup, not a sales form — you land straight in a dashboard, not a "someone will contact you" queue, which is the main thing that separates a self-serve pl
Every accounting team I talked to had the same problem: invoices arrive as PDFs and scans, and someone has to retype them into a spreadsheet. Existing OCR APIs are either expensive, English-only, or return a blob of text instead of structured data. So I built a small REST API that takes a document and returns JSON. You POST an image or PDF. You get back: { "vendor": "ACME Ltd", "date": "2026-09-14", "total": 1240.00, "currency": "USD", "line_items": [ {"desc": "Consulting", "qty": 4, "price": 310.00} ] } Bilingual out of the box: English and Vietnamese.
A proper Well-Architected review has always had the same cost: a day or two of the team answering a long questionnaire, someone pulling evidence from five consoles, and a report that's stale within weeks. Trusted Advisor helps with point checks, but it has no idea which application matters or what your business is optimizing for this quarter. On October 1, 2026, AWS launched AWS Well-Architected Agent in public preview. It continuously analyzes your accounts and returns cost, security, resilience, and performance recommendations ranked against goals you write yourself, and it hands you the fix
If you run RAG on Amazon S3 Vectors with metadata filters, you may have been losing results without knowing it. Ask for the 10 nearest chunks for one tenant and you might get 3 back, or 10 that aren't actually the closest ones in that tenant's data. No error, no alarm, just a model answering with less context than it should have had. On September 30, 2026, AWS shipped metadata pre-filtering for S3 Vectors. Indexes now come in two modes, and the new one evaluates your filter before the similarity search instead of during it.
