Yogi Adityanath accuses SP, Congress of appeasement over Hanumangarhi prayer row

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has publicly criticised the Samajwadi Party and Congress, accusing them of practising appeasement politics. He alleged that the opposition parties showed disrespect toward Hindu sentiments by permitting namaz to be offered at the Hanumangarhi temple in Ayodhya. Adityanath further claimed that these parties had historically opposed both the development of Ayodhya and the construction of the Ram temple. The Chief Minister contrasted this stance with his government's contribution in overseeing the building of the grand Ram temple. He also pointed to opposition resistance against new infrastructure and transformation projects in Ayodhya.
