Yamuna defoaming work near Kalindi Kunj faces scrutiny over contract allotment

A defoaming operation is about to start on the Yamuna near Kalindi Kunj, and the equipment for it is already installed. The Aam Aadmi Party has questioned how the tender was allocated, arguing that it appears to favor one particular contractor. According to the allegations, that contractor set up its equipment before the bids were formally opened. Delhi Jal Board officials, however, say they have carried out such defoaming campaigns every year since 2022.
