PM Modi urges youth to leverage social media in fight against drug addiction

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called on young Indians to creatively use social media platforms to combat the growing drug menace in the country. He made this appeal as part of a broader message encouraging youth to take an active role in addressing social issues. Modi also highlighted the achievements of the PM SVANidhi scheme, which has supported women's financial independence. Around 35 lakh women have benefited from the scheme, using it to strengthen and grow their businesses.

NEET-PG 2026 held nationwide; 2,445 Jaipur candidates to retest on Sept 5 after power glitch

The NEET-PG 2026 examination was conducted across India with heightened security and real-time monitoring. However, a power supply failure at two examination centres in Jaipur disrupted the test for 2,445 candidates. A retest for the affected students has been scheduled for September 5. A three-member committee has been formed to probe the internal power failure at the affected centres. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) acknowledged the disruption and apologised for the inconvenience caused.
