Former US President Donald Trump said that Starlink service for Ukraine has been brought back online. Ukraine relies heavily on the satellite network for communication between military units, coordinating operations, and receiving early warnings of Russian missile attacks. Starlink also supports Ukrainian drone operations, both for strikes on Russian targets and for defense against incoming threats. Disruptions to the service can therefore hamper the military's ability to fly drones and respond to Russian assaults. Trump did not comment on the role of Elon Musk, who owns Starlink's parent company, SpaceX.
