Virtio-nvgpu Project Enables Near-Native Nvidia GPU Access in KVM VMs

A new open-source project called virtio-nvgpu has been published on GitHub by Nestri Labs. It aims to provide near-native Nvidia GPU access within KVM virtual machine guests. The project uses the virtio framework, a standard interface for virtualized device communication, to pass GPU capabilities through to guest environments. This could benefit developers and users who need high-performance GPU compute or graphics inside virtual machines. The project is in early stages, with minimal community discussion recorded at the time of publication.
