Boeing B787 Fuel Switch Probe Finds No Abnormality, Further Checks Underway

A Boeing investigation into the B787 Dreamliner's fuel control switch locking mechanism has found no abnormality. The probe was ordered by India's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) after a flight crew flagged a concern following landing. The fuel control switches, which regulate fuel supply to engines, have previously come under scrutiny in connection with a past crash incident. Authorities are now conducting a deeper inspection of the complete thrust control module at the original equipment manufacturer's facility. The government confirmed that the DGCA-ordered examination has so far cleared the switch mechanism in question.
