Vande Mataram to Be Sung at Red Fort on Independence Day for First Time

Defence Secretary R K Singh announced that 'Vande Mataram' will be sung at Red Fort during India's Independence Day celebrations for the first time. The event will also celebrate the contributions and achievements of young people across the country. Singh clarified that the plan to honour youth predates the recent student protests at Jantar Mantar, dismissing any connection between the two.
