US Supreme Court Blocks Trump Order Restricting Birthright Citizenship

The US Supreme Court on June 30 struck down the Trump administration's latest attempt to curtail birthright citizenship. The order had sought to deny citizenship to children born in the US whose parents were neither American citizens nor legal permanent residents. Green card holders were among those whose children would have been affected under the proposed restrictions.
