US Supreme Court upholds $5mn verdict against Trump in E Jean Carroll case

The US Supreme Court has once again refused to overturn a civil verdict against Donald Trump in the E. Jean Carroll case. A jury had earlier found Trump liable for sexual abuse and defamation against Carroll. The ruling keeps a $5 million judgment intact, an amount Trump has already paid. Separately, an $83.3 million verdict against Trump in a related case remains pending before the Supreme Court.
