US Approves $4.5 Billion Sale of KC-46A Refuelling Aircraft to Qatar

The United States has approved a $4.5 billion arms sale to Qatar involving aerial refuelling aircraft. Qatar requested the purchase of up to four KC-46A tanker aircraft as part of the deal. The aircraft are to be equipped with missile warning sensors, according to a US Department of Defense statement. The approval reflects ongoing defence cooperation between Washington and Doha.
