Tool auto-converts web app APIs into AI agent actions without touching source code

A team has built a browser-based agent that observes how authenticated web applications call their own internal APIs and automatically converts those calls into reusable AI agent tools. The system generates structured 'recipes' capturing each API's endpoint, authentication method, input and response schemas, and a plain-language description — functioning like a self-updating MCP server. It was demonstrated working with Jira, Spotify, and Hacker News without any access to those products' source code. The approach was developed to address the real-world complexity of modern apps, which often rely on tangled, non-standard APIs that AI agents cannot easily consume out of the box. The team noted that GraphQL proved the most difficult API style to standardize within their recipe framework.
