Three Free Tools to Visualize Color Palettes on Real UI Components

0
·1 views

Three free tools help designers preview color schemes on actual UI elements in 2026. PaletteDesk generates multiple palettes from one color and displays them on realistic product mockups. Realtime Colors allows instant color adjustments on interactive website layouts. Coolors' Palette Visualizer provides rapid palette generation with mockup previews. These tools aim to bridge the gap between color selection and practical interface application.

Curve DEX protocol upgrade review finds medium-high risk compatibility issues

A security review of Curve DEX, prepared on October 1, 2026, assessed the protocol's ability to safely upgrade its contracts. The review, focusing on the $1.3 billion decentralized exchange, identified several compatibility risks across proxy storage, governance, and cross-chain bridges. It assigned an aggregate risk score of 4.7 out of 10, classifying it as medium-high. The findings suggest gaps could be exploited during rushed upgrades, particularly given the protocol's large total value locked. The protocol's fundamental design was noted as sound despite these specific vulnerabilities.

System design recommends handling missing feature flags to avoid false outage alerts.

A technical article outlines a method for monitoring missing feature flags during system updates. It advises against alerting on missing keys alone, as this can cause false alarms. Instead, it recommends paging only when checkout failures rise alongside an increase in missing flag evaluations. The approach uses a two-tiered severity system to separate routine investigations from urgent outages. This method aims to ensure alerts correspond to actual customer impact rather than internal system noise.

GraphProbe AI: An Agentic GraphRAG System for Multi-Step Investigation

GraphProbe AI is a new system built on TigerGraph designed to answer complex questions that require connecting multiple pieces of information. It moves beyond standard Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) by incorporating graph-based relationships and an agentic orchestrator. The system dynamically combines steps like entity linking, graph traversal, and evidence evaluation to adapt its investigation strategy. This approach is particularly suited for queries involving multiple entities and their interconnections, tracking all evidence used throughout the process.

Data security depends on system permissions, not just AI prompts, project shows

A developer explores data security boundaries in an analytics project called MerchantLens, built with Databricks and Unity Catalog. The project demonstrates that an AI agent's ability to access sensitive data is ultimately controlled by pre-configured database permissions, not by the instructions given in a prompt. Access is enforced through column masking and row filtering applied by the Unity Catalog based on the agent's service identity. The security relies on correct identity configuration and grants, not on the application logic alone. A key lesson is that permissions must be tested under the actual executing identity to verify the intended data restrictions.
