Thousands of Turtles Swarm Mexico's La Escobilla Beach in Mass Nesting Event

A large-scale mass nesting event has brought thousands of turtles to La Escobilla beach in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. The arrival took place within a 48-hour period, according to officials at the local sanctuary. Such events, known as 'arribadas,' see large numbers of sea turtles come ashore simultaneously to lay their eggs.
