J&K Raises Compensation for Soldiers Killed in Action to Rs 25 Lakh

Jammu and Kashmir has revised its compensation norms for security personnel killed in action. Under the updated policy, families of soldiers who die in action will now receive Rs 25 lakh. Police personnel killed in action will have their families compensated with Rs 12 lakh. Ex-servicemen's families will be entitled to Rs 2 lakh under the revised framework.

Punjab HC Halts Pharmacy Officers' Recruitment Amid Cheating Allegations

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has put on hold the recruitment process for pharmacy officer posts advertised by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences in Faridkot, Punjab. The court issued a stay order on the appointment process following a controversy surrounding alleged cheating. All appointments will remain suspended until the matter is heard again. The next hearing in the case has been scheduled for September 17.
