A man has been arrested for allegedly cheating 41 people out of a total of Rs 40 lakh by promising them overseas employment opportunities. The accused lured victims through social media advertisements that falsely advertised jobs abroad. The case was investigated and handled by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW). Victims had responded to these online posts believing the job offers to be legitimate. The arrest was made after authorities traced the fraudulent scheme back to the accused.
