Tesla driver says he was asleep on FSD when he hit California Highway Patrol cars

A Tesla driver told authorities he was asleep while using the car's Full Self-Driving feature when his vehicle crashed into California Highway Patrol cars. The California Highway Patrol released video showing the Tesla passing flares, cones, and emergency lights at the scene of an earlier accident before ramming a parked patrol vehicle. Two Solano CHP officers were seriously injured and taken to a hospital. The CHP warned that despite its name, Full Self-Driving is not fully autonomous and does not relieve drivers of their responsibility to operate their vehicles safely.
