Teen survives Alaska boat capsize; two others found dead near St. Lawrence Island

A 15-year-old boy was rescued after clinging to an overturned 18-foot fishing boat approximately four miles east of St. Lawrence Island, Alaska. The US Coast Guard initiated a search operation after the vessel failed to return with its three occupants on board. Rescuers located the teenager alive on the hull of the capsized boat. The two other boaters were found dead in the water during the search. All three individuals, including the survivor, were subsequently transported to Nome, Alaska.
