Teen prodigy Anshul Bhatt leads charge to revive bridge as India's next mind sport

Bridge, once played by independence icon Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, has largely faded from India's competitive sporting scene. Seventeen-year-old Anshul Bhatt is now spearheading efforts to change that trajectory. Drawing inspiration from chess legend Viswanathan Anand's view that bridge today mirrors where chess stood two decades ago, Anshul has been winning world titles while simultaneously mentoring younger players. He is also conducting research into the sport and working to build a broader movement aimed at giving bridge a long-overdue breakthrough in India.
