Tariq and Ali's 'Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother' Wows at TIFF 2025

Director Bassam Tariq and actor Mahershala Ali, once attached to Marvel's cancelled Blade reboot, have reunited on a new project at the Toronto International Film Festival. Their collaboration, a hitman thriller titled 'Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother', has drawn strong early praise from critics. The film was among five titles screened on the third day of TIFF. The duo's new work is being seen as a compelling alternative to what the Blade reboot could have been. Marvel's handling of the scrapped Blade project had been widely criticised following Ali and Tariq's departures from the production.
