Supreme Court Rejects Plea Against Six AIADMK MLAs Who Joined TVK

The Supreme Court has dismissed a petition challenging the defection of six AIADMK legislators who joined the TVK party. The plea was filed by advocate K Suthan, who had contested an earlier Madras High Court order that had already rejected his challenge. A bench comprising Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohana heard and turned down the appeal. The ruling leaves the High Court's decision in place, upholding the MLAs' switch in allegiance.
