Supreme Court orders new SIT to probe Ram Mandir donation theft, takes over monitoring

The Supreme Court has assumed oversight of the investigation into alleged fund embezzlement at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. Local police have been removed from the case, which will now be handled by a newly formed SIT led by a senior IPS officer. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has been directed to preserve all donation records and accounts for examination. The court warned against any attempts to politicize the probe into the alleged misappropriation of funds. So far, eight people have been arrested in connection with the case as the investigation continues.
