Fintech image handling guide: Strip metadata, store attribution separately

A technical guide recommends financial technology applications strip embedded metadata from all publicly served images to protect user privacy. Photographer attribution should be stored as explicit database fields and displayed visibly rather than embedded in image files. The approach involves sanitizing images upon upload to create a clean canonical version before generating cropped variants for different display needs. This prevents sensitive metadata like GPS coordinates or device information from being exposed in public thumbnails while maintaining necessary attribution for licensed content.

Platform advises seven moderation categories for AI hiring apps

The system separates content classification from policy enforcement, allowing different tenants to apply their own rules. This separation is critical in contexts like hiring, where moderation must protect candidate data without influencing scoring. The guide suggests keeping classification labels, enforcement actions, and billing records in separate fields for clarity and auditability.

A complete audit trail must be maintained, including policy versions and all delivery state changes. SMS is suitable for urgent notifications but cannot substitute for proper application-level policy enforcement.
