Free Chrome Extensions That Reveal Pinterest Pin Stats, Compared

A maker of one of the extensions compares several free Chrome tools that display Pinterest pin statistics, which the site does not show by default. The comparison covers features such as saves, sorting, engagement rates, viral scores, keyword volume and CSV export. Figures such as user counts and ratings were taken from Chrome Web Store listings as of November 5, 2026, and the author warns they may have since changed. The author discloses that they built one of the extensions, PinRank, and says it is the least-used option in the comparison, though it has particular strengths in search results. Several tools require a free or paid account, and some advanced features sit behind paid tiers.

Idle dev and QA cloud VMs keep running overnight, and nobody can audit the shutdowns

Dev and QA environments often run overnight even though no one needs them, because the person responsible for turning them off has also gone home. Scheduling by hand or via a cron job on an individual's laptop is unreliable, and when it does run, it is unclear which machines it stopped or why some restarted. Control Cloud offers scheduled power on and off for resources, using cron expressions in a chosen timezone. Every scheduled run is written to an audit log recording when it fired, what it matched, and what failed. The platform's documentation includes a demo organization showing the process alongside the overnight cost savings.

WhatsApp Business API: A Developer Guide to Integration

The WhatsApp Business API allows backend systems to send and receive WhatsApp messages automatically, such as order updates, one-time passwords, reminders, and support replies. Unlike the WhatsApp Business app, which is operated manually, the Platform is built for software, with Meta hosting the Cloud API so developers need not run their own servers. Integrations rely on a Meta Business account, a registered phone number, an access token, and a webhook for incoming messages and status updates. Businesses must start conversations with pre-approved templates categorized as marketing, utility, or authentication, while a 24-hour customer service window permits free-form replies once a customer messages first. The guide also includes a Node.js example that sends an approved order-shipped template through a simple POST request to Meta's Graph API.

Styx Makes Costly File Tracking Opt-In, Switchable From the Review Screen

Styx tracks every file an agent edits so users can review changes hunk by hunk, but that tracking requires watchers that can slow down large changes, so it is off by default. Previously, the Review screen showed an empty state when tracking was off, with a button that sent users to Settings to find the switch. The fix lets that button enable tracking directly through the same settings command while keeping the user on Review. The default remains unchanged, so the cost is only incurred when a user requests the feature. The author notes the tradeoff that the toggle now exists in two places, requiring the copy and tests to stay consistent.
