Sonos Ace Ultra headphones fix the flaws that held back the original model

Sonos has released the Ace Ultra, an upgraded version of its original Ace over-ear headphones that addresses key shortcomings of the first-generation product. The original Ace launched to a troubled reception, partly due to Sonos's widely criticized app redesign and partly because its headline feature — routing TV audio from a Sonos soundbar to the headphones — was buggy and limited. At launch, that feature only worked with the $1,000 Arc soundbar and a single pair of headphones at a time, though both restrictions have since been resolved. The Ace Ultra retains the same external design as its predecessor but delivers meaningful internal improvements. The new model appears to be Sonos's attempt to deliver the polished, fully integrated headphone experience it originally promised.
