Five EU Nations Plan External Hubs to Repatriate Rejected Asylum Seekers

Five European Union countries are moving forward with plans to establish migrant return hubs located outside EU territory. These facilities would be used to process individuals whose asylum applications have been rejected, ahead of their repatriation. The participating nations aim to reach a formal agreement with a host country by the end of this year. Human rights organizations have voiced concerns over the safety and welfare of migrants held in such centers.
