Cricket Australia has approved transgender cricketer Anaya Bangar's return to competitive women's cricket. Bangar is permitted to participate in community cricket until March 2027, provided she meets the governing body's policy requirements. Her eligibility for elite cricket beyond that date will depend on her sustained testosterone levels. South African all-rounder Marizanne Kapp publicly condemned the decision, calling it unacceptable and unwarranted. Bangar clarified that being declared eligible does not guarantee her selection for any team.
