Kerala consumer commission orders e-commerce platform to pay Rs 8,359 for wrong earbud delivery

A Kerala consumer commission ruled against an e-commerce platform after it delivered the wrong brand of wireless earbuds to a customer. The customer had ordered WeCool earbuds but received a BoAt product instead, and the platform failed to address repeated complaints. The commission determined that this constituted a deficiency in service and an unfair trade practice. The company did not appear before the commission, which effectively conceded the allegations against it. The platform has been directed to pay Rs 8,359 along with interest within 45 days.
