PDP slams NC's Delhi statehood protest as halfhearted, demands Article 370 restoration

PDP leader Iltija Mufti has criticised the National Conference's protest in Delhi over Jammu and Kashmir's statehood restoration, calling it deliberately understated and lacking in conviction. She argued that a genuine demonstration at Jantar Mantar should have also demanded the reinstatement of Article 370 and special status for J&K. The PDP chose not to participate in the protest, citing the absence of demands for Article 370 restoration and the release of political prisoners. The dispute between the two parties comes in the backdrop of the 2019 central government decision to revoke Article 370 and bifurcate the former state into two union territories.
