Palo Alto Networks CEO warns outdated systems can't defend against AI-speed attacks

Palo Alto Networks CEO Nikesh Arora has called on businesses to urgently modernize their cybersecurity infrastructure before deploying artificial intelligence at scale. He cautioned that the roughly $1 trillion currently locked in legacy systems is insufficient to counter attacks that now occur at machine speed. Arora emphasized that strong digital defenses must be established as a foundation for any successful AI rollout. He also highlighted that AI's growing influence on cybersecurity represents a significant long-term growth opportunity for the sector. Meeting this challenge, he noted, will require enterprises to substantially reallocate their technology budgets over time.
