OwlLayer AI Lets Agents Control UI Components Without Replacing Them

OwlLayer AI is a new open-source framework that allows AI agents to interact directly with existing UI components rather than replacing or bypassing them. It introduces a Neural-DOM Binding approach where components declare their own typed, schema-validated actions with defined risk levels, keeping business logic and design systems intact. Security is built into the protocol itself, and voice commands are treated as first-class inputs routed through the same tool-calling pipeline as text. The system is built on OpenAI Realtime, Gemini Live, and LiveKit, and uses a custom Agent-to-Interface Transfer Protocol to connect LLMs to the UI. A single TypeScript server orchestrates the framework, with bindings available for React, Vue, Svelte, Angular, vanilla JS, and PHP.
