Oracle reuses identical termination email in second round of layoffs this year

Oracle has conducted its second round of job cuts in 2025, sending employees the same termination email used during its March layoffs. The message, signed 'Oracle Leadership' and delivered at 6am, informed staff that their roles were eliminated and that the day was their last. Employees shared both versions of the email on platforms including Reddit, Blind, and X. In India, between 1,000 and 1,500 mid- to senior-level employees are reportedly affected by the latest cuts. Oracle's total restructuring costs have now climbed to $2.8 billion.
