Consumer Commission Orders Jeweller to Return Gold, Pay Rs 35,000 for Service Failure

A consumer commission has directed Kapoor Jewellers to return 32 grams of gold to a customer after the shop failed to convert the metal into bangles as requested. The jeweller was also ordered to pay Rs 35,000 as compensation for the deficiency in service. The commission based its ruling on documentary evidence that confirmed the transaction had taken place. The case arose from a customer complaint over unfulfilled jewellery work by the shop.
