Old Delhi PG Building Collapses; Illegal Work and Waterlogging Under Probe

A building in Satya Niketan, Delhi, collapsed recently, triggering an investigation into its structural integrity. The structure was over 40 years old and housed 13 registered paying guests at the time of the incident. Authorities are examining whether unauthorised construction work played a role in causing the collapse. Waterlogging in the basement is also being investigated as a possible factor that may have weakened the foundation. The civic body is additionally reviewing alleged violations related to building height and recent construction activities on the premises.
