Nuclear Engineer Builds AI-Assisted Interactive Global Reactor Atlas Without Writing Code

A nuclear engineer and co-founder of blockchain software firm Rather Labs has launched Reactor Atlas, an interactive map indexing power reactors, research reactors, and nuclear fuel facilities worldwide. The creator drew on three years of experience at Argentina's National Atomic Energy Commission before pivoting to software entrepreneurship. With demand for blockchain solutions declining as AI tools lower barriers for startups, he is now redirecting his focus toward the energy sector. Reactor Atlas was built entirely using AI coding agents — primarily Claude — alongside Next.js, Three.js, and PostgreSQL, with no manual code written by the founder. The project reflects his belief that human developers should shift toward designing and supervising AI systems rather than writing code directly.
