Neeraj Chopra wishes Team India luck as Asian Games 2026 begin in Aichi-Nagoya

The Asian Games 2026 have officially commenced in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, with India participating in the multi-sport event. Shooter Manu Bhaker and kabaddi player Pawan Sehrawat served as India's flagbearers at the opening ceremony. Javelin champion Neeraj Chopra, currently recovering from an injury, extended his best wishes to the Indian contingent from the sidelines. India is aiming to surpass its medal haul from the previous Asian Games held in Hangzhou. Several competitions had already begun before the formal opening ceremony got underway.
