NASA's Nitinol Metal Tyres Built for Mars Could Revolutionize Road Transport

NASA has developed airless, puncture-proof tyres made from Nitinol, a shape-memory metal alloy, originally designed for Mars rovers. Unlike conventional rubber tyres, these metal tyres can adapt to rough terrain and withstand extreme temperatures without sustaining damage. The design eliminates the risk of punctures while still providing a smooth ride.
