NASA, partners begin Earth tests for future Moon crop cultivation

NASA, the Canadian Space Agency, and the German Aerospace Center have agreed to collaborate on developing space farming capabilities. Their joint statement of intent initiates preparatory work for an Earth-based demonstrator project. The goal is to learn and test methods for growing crops on the surface of the Moon.
