Russia Becomes India's Top Oil Supplier Amid US-Iran Tensions in Hormuz

Russia has become India's dominant crude oil supplier following the onset of US-Iran tensions in the Strait of Hormuz. Over the past four months, India imported more than 240 million barrels of Russian crude oil. This figure is more than four times the volume supplied by the second-largest source, the UAE, which exported around 58 million barrels.
