Mumbai food inspectors find cockroach infestation at Blinkit, seize sweets from Reliance Retail

Food safety authorities in Mumbai conducted inspections that uncovered serious hygiene violations at two major retail operations. A significant cockroach infestation was discovered in the vegetable and fruit storage areas at a Blink Commerce Pvt Ltd facility, the parent company of quick-commerce platform Blinkit. In a separate action, officials seized 54 boxes of 'kaju katli' sweets under the brand name Laxmi Narayan from a Reliance Retail outlet. The seizures indicate ongoing food safety enforcement efforts targeting both traditional and modern retail formats in the city.
