India's Direct Tax Collections Jump 23% to Rs 9.55 Lakh Crore by Aug 10

India's gross direct tax collections reached Rs 9.55 lakh crore as of August 10, marking a year-on-year surge of over 23 percent. Net collections after refunds stood at Rs 8.11 lakh crore, driven primarily by non-corporate tax receipts.
