Mininglamp Technology Open-Sources Octo, a Human-AI Agent Collaboration Network

Chinese AI firm Mininglamp Technology has officially open-sourced Octo, a platform designed to enable structured collaboration between humans and multiple AI agents within organizations. Unlike traditional AI tools that operate as isolated systems, Octo connects agents through shared collaboration structures called Channels and Threads, allowing coordinated task management and context sharing. The platform supports private deployment, giving enterprises control over their own data and knowledge assets. Octo includes six distinct collaboration modes — such as Pipeline, Swarm, and Roundtable — to handle tasks of varying complexity across teams of humans and AI bots. Mininglamp positions Octo not as a single super-agent solution, but as an inter-agent network where human judgment remains central to key decision points.
