Microsoft Surface Mouse Gen 2 Adds Haptic Feedback and Customizable Action Button

Microsoft is set to launch a second-generation Surface Mouse next month, introducing haptic feedback for the first time. The new mouse provides subtle physical responses to on-screen actions such as clicks registering or windows snapping into place. It also features a customizable action button, which is designed primarily for quick access to Microsoft's Copilot AI assistant. Users can reconfigure the button for other shortcuts through the Surface app. Brett Ostrum, corporate vice president of Surface Devices, described the haptic feedback as subtle but noticeable within seconds of use.
