Meta settles with 29 states, agrees to strict safety limits for teen users

As part of the deal, Meta must implement an age verification system subject to independent testing, with strict limits on false identification rates for users aged 13 to 17. The company will also give teenagers the ability to opt out of algorithmically personalized content feeds.
